Mandala, Meditation & Mindfulness Garden
Inspired by conditions imposed by the pandemic, The Mandala Garden is a place in which to escape. It offers a safe haven to spend time sitting and meditating, listening to the tranquil water, bees humming and birds singing – a calm and restful but rejuvenating space.
A mandala is a geometric configuration of symbols. In various spiritual traditions, mandalas are used for focusing attention, or as a spiritual guidance tool, for establishing a sacred space and as an aid to meditation.

The practical applications of slate paving need hardly be emphasised. Slate is an extremely hard-wearing material and is impervious to sunlight, water staining, fire, mossing and frost-resistant, and its natural grain provides slip resistance as well as a beautiful genuine appearance.
The mix of practicality and aesthetics creates beautiful paving that makes a striking design impact.
Welsh Slate paving is available as individual slabs or patio packs in Dark Blue Grey and Heather colours and can be bought online at UK Stone Direct https://www.ukstonedirect.com/paving.html or direct from Welsh Slate for larger quantities

Since 1997, Solus Decor has been designing and casting ultra high performance concrete to withstand the true northern climate of Canada. Today our highly collaborative team of 20, designs and produces beautiful, long lasting objects that run counter to a culture obsessed with trends and disposability, much like concrete itself. Our artisans, designers, sales and support team strive to consistently create, produce and deliver high quality, hand finished goods that are shipped worldwide.
Solus Decor expanded to the UK in 2014 and since then we have been busy designing new fire and water products, opening our Surrey showroom and expanding the business into Europe with a Spanish office (www.solusdecor.com.es). The design community response to the Solus style and aesthetic has been truly outstanding. Displaying at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show since 2016 and being a finalist in their new product of the year award twice, certainly enhanced the Solus brand.

Committed to exceptional materials and fine craftsmanship, the Bert & May name is synonymous with a raw yet refined aesthetic that underpins our entire collection. Our story started in Spain in 2004, when Bert & May founder Lee Thornley left London to set up a reclaimed tile company in Andalusia.
What began as an online venture selling reclaimed materials took on a new life in 2010 when Lee met Juanma, owner of a small family business that had specialised in making artisan encaustic tiles using traditional handmade techniques. The pair decided that the future of the company lay in making their own vintage-inspired designs, so the family factory reopened and production began. Rebranded and officially launched as Bert & May in September 2013, the company has evolved into a specialist supplier of handmade artisan tiles.

To elho, waste is pure beauty and so it is constantly looking for new possibilities and smart solutions to use recycled plastic within its products and reduce the amount of plastic being produced. Its efforts have proved successful too, with millions of kilograms of waste being recycled each year to be used in its production process, meaning that 85% of its raw materials are made from recycled plastic! This also means that each and every pot made is 100% recyclable and kind to the environment. Elho’s environmental commitment doesn’t stop there, with intentions to use 100% recycled materials in its production by 2023.

After moving into a new build property a few years ago, I had no clue what to do with the garden and no money to pay for a garden designer. Thinking I could easily do it myself, I realised after going to the garden centre to buy a few plants, that it was much more difficult than I had anticipated. I was overwhelmed with the choice of plants, with tiny plant labels that didn’t make much sense, and I had no idea what plant went where. The seed of a ready-made design kit was sown.
I attended Pershore Horticultural College and a few months after finishing my course I submitted my application to RHS Malvern. I won a Silver Medal and the Peoples Choice Award and met Alan Titchmarsh. Alan purchased the sheep sculptures off my show garden and when I delivered them we had a chat about Border in a Box. He was so kind and helpful. I launched my ready-made kits the following year and left my corporate IT job to set up Border in a Box.
My ethos is to help everyone achieve a gorgeous garden easily, no green fingers required. I find most people want a beautiful outside space but no clue where to start. I was in their shoes and my kits are a simple place to start.
