Forget-me-not
One of my favourite spring flowers – masses of tiny pale blue flowers with white or yellow centres. They grow in sun/part sun to around 30cm tall so are ideal for the front of the border and look fabulous planted in containers with tulips (as shown in the product photos).
Lupin –
This particular variety grows to around 40cm tall and is ideal for the front of a sunny border. It has white, pink and blue flowers. By sowing seeds over several weeks it can provide a continual show of flowers from June to October.
Foxglove
They are a mixed colour and look best in the mid/back of the border to had some height, colour and texture. They will grow to around 90cm tall and bloom from May to June. They are biennial which means they will flower in the second year after planting. However, this variety, if you sow the seeds early in the year, they will flower the same year. Ideal for a sunny or shady border and may self seed.
Cosmos
Another annual flower loved by butterflies and bees. This variety grows to around 40-60cm tall and will look fabulous in the middle/front of the border next to the lupins to create more texture. They will flower from June to October (or first frosts) as long as you dead-head regularly. They have pretty pink flowers.
The wooden plant labels will enable you to mark out where your seeds are in the border to make them easily identifiable and ensure you don’t dig them up by mistake thinking you have lots of weeds!
All seeds can be simply scattered directly into the soil to make the growing process very simple.
These seed gift boxes make a lovely present as a standalone item, or why not purchase a bird feeder https://bit.ly/2YyTZ05 which I can gift wrap together for you. You can purchase gift wrap and a card from my online shop and I can write the card for you at no extra cost.
The seeds are provided by Fothergills and Suttons Seeds who were founded in 1806 by John Suttons, Suttons opened the country’s first seed testing laboratory in 1840, sold the first ever foil sealed vacuum packed seeds in 1965 and have held the Royal warrant for over 140 years.
